NEW DELHI: The Delhi police laid out a green corridor on Saturday and helped the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in the eastern part of the state capital to get an oxygen tanker.
The police received a call from a government-appointed node officer for the transport of an oxygen tanker from the Inox plant in Modinagar.
The deputy police commissioner (Shahdara) contacted DIG police and SP Rural in Ghaziabad and coordinated the transport with a police escort, a senior official said.
A team was also dispatched from the GTB Enclave Police Station, which the UP Police Team met halfway and took responsibility, they said.
The team escorted the tanker on the shortest possible route and reached the hospital within an hour, the official added.
