PNB holds Mega Credit Outreach Programme in Delhi – Business Sandesh

To reach customers and meet their credit needs, a Mega Customer Credit Outreach Program was organized by the leading bank – Punjab National Bank in the Wazirpur Industrial Area, Delhi.

The credit outreach program was initiated by Chief Guest Ms. Cheshta Yadav – District Magistrate (North West District) Delhi. Participants in the program were Shri Ashish Kumar – SDM (HQ) North-West Delhi, Shri K. Meenakshisundram – General Manager of PNB Delhi Zone, Shri Shyam Sunder Narang – Chief Regional Manager of IOB, Shri Anil Ahluwalia – Dy Circle Head North Delhi. part, Shri Rajinder Choudhary – AGM SLBC Delhi, executives of public and private sector banks and a large number of clients.

While Ms. Cheshta Yadav recognized the efforts of all banks during the Covid-19 pandemic, she appreciated the banks’ move to direct their credit needs to customers as well.

Shri Ashish Kumar stressed that banks should prioritize financial benefits for the poor through various government sponsored programs, with a particular focus on the recently launched Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME).

Shri K. Meenakshisundram said credit intermediation programs are being organized in several districts across the country, including 11 in Delhi, to increase borrowing during the economic slowdown. Such programs would contribute to economic growth and must continue after the election campaign.

On the occasion, participating public and private sector banks distributed sanction letters totaling approximately Rs. 54.64 billion to 415 customers. Punjab National Bank (North Delhi) distributed sanction letters totaling Rs 24.00 billion to 144 customers.
