The Cosmo Foundation, the social arm of Cosmo Films Ltd., today organized a one-day vaccination campaign against COVID-19 for the people of Delhi at the Satya Jeevan Lepra Society in Lajpat Nagar.
The vaccination campaign marked the presence of Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture. from India.
Since 2008, the Cosmo Foundation has been committed to the cause and increased the reach of the neighboring villages of its production facilities (Vadodara, Aurangabad & corporate office, Delhi) in order to promote the quality of life in the community. The COVID-19 was one of the toughest times humanity has seen, and CF took it as an opportunity to serve the rural outskirts, stranded and migrant workers, police and health workers, educators, pregnant and widowed women, and patients affected by COVID to support. and their families, elderly and abandoned, etc.
With the aim of being a helping hand in such test times, the COSMO Foundation used its broad network to support people in several places in India with the help they need. It includes a range of initiatives such as food and grocery delivery, hygiene kits, medical devices and vaccines, massive COVID awareness to promote COVID-appropriate behavior, registration in the Arogya Setu app and vaccination, COVID care advice to resolve fears, misinformation and abbreviate ignorance & build understanding of symptoms, precautions, proper quarantine methods, etc. The Cosmo Foundation also goes to great lengths to involve rural children in the educational process on digital platforms
“COVID-19 has put a heavy strain on people’s lives, it is not enough to just wear masks, wash hands and maintain social distance. We need to vaccinate people as soon as possible so that we can counter the rising number of cases and heal ourselves to continue our productive lives, ”said Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture Government of India.
Regarding the ride, Ms. Yamini Jaipuria, Managing Trustee of the Cosmo Foundation said, “No one can predict what the future holds for the people of our country as we see new variants of Covid-19 that will hit us with new waves. Our priority should be to get people vaccinated as soon as possible to fight COVID-19. We must promote vaccination campaigns and increase the number of vaccines to reduce the number of deaths. Together we can win this fight against the deadly disease. “
The Cosmo Foundation organized a vaccination campaign for 400 employees of the Delhi traffic police and their families on June 12, 2021 in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi and for 400 Iskcon supporters on June 26, 2021 in the Iskcon Temple, east of Kailash.
